EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson is in the Twin Cities this morning, where she is scheduled to speak at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Science, Technology & Public Policy.

The event is being billed as a conversation about the role of science in decision making, as well as recent challenges to environmental laws.
Jackson should have no shortage of material to draw from.
Under Jackson’s leadership, the EPA has advanced the “most ambitious clean air rules in decades,” from a doubling of fuel-efficiency standards to a crack down on mercury-emitting, coal-burning power plants, drawing political pushback from D.C. to the Dakotas.
It hasn’t all gone smoothly, but the agency shows no signs of cowering either.
