This policy explains what types of information is collected over the Energy News Network website (http://energynews.us).
Information we collect
Information you voluntarily provide to us:
Individuals who subscribe to Energy News Network daily email digests voluntarily provide us with their name and email address, and other contact information if they choose. We send these publications via MailChimp. MailChimp uses web beacons in the emails sent via their platform. When we send emails, MailChimp tracks behavior such as who opened the emails and who clicked the links. This allows us to measure the performance of our email campaigns. To do this, MailChimp includes single pixel gifs, also called web beacons, in emails we send. Web beacons allow us to collect information about when you open the email, your IP address, your browser or email client type, and other similar details.
Anonymized data, such as company or organization affiliation, collected via MailChimp may be used to communicate to funders and other prospective partners about the makeup of our list.
Individuals that donate online voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). This information is stored in Fresh Energy’s cloud-based secured relationship database, Neon (PCI compliant). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. To view, modify, or “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future, you can log on to your personal Fresh Energy account on our website, or contact us directly at email@example.com or 651 225 0878.
Other information we collect automatically:
We collect information that is sent to us automatically by your web browser. This information typically includes your IP address, the identity of your Internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you visit. Please check your browser if you want to learn what information your browser sends or how to change your settings.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics tool, to better understand how visitors engage with our website.
